Clear stream on Bodmin Moor

The stream below the tor at Roughtor, North Cornwall.
This flows from Crowdy reservoir – pic to follow …
Rough Tor is a favourite area for country walks:
This walk could be described as the ascent of Cornwall’s “Twin Peaks”, and although that may sound a little daunting, provided you pick the right day, take your time and take plenty of provisions then you will have a glorious day standing on top of the highest points in Cornwall.

Photo Poughill Church
There are many churches in this area that appear to be of the same era – Norman, apparently. The church at Poughill has particularly fine religious art inside.

Holy figs, JJ’s Bar and Neolithic Monuments in Bude
An American said… Holy frig!!! Bude is huge
. I see a rooftop which says BAR.I think Paddy would like that. I followed mandelbrot but couldn’t find Bude anywhere. When will you show photos of downtown Bude? A Bude neighborhood? Anything Bude???? Pay no attention to Budists wondering why yer taking pics!!!!!
Anne, here is the holy fig of which you speak:-
The Famous Bar, for Paddy’s attention:-
I hope he appreciates the close up and the great cost in boot leather to the typist in gaining this photo. And
Bude’s Famous Neolithic Monument,
The Six Maidens (and a duck)
Standing Stone Formation
A passing tourist told me that this is really a cricket pitch, but he was wobbling severely and wearing a T shirt emblazoned ‘If found, take back to the bar’. Some peoplpe will say anything…
eroded beach rocks

A fine wind break on this particular day. The storms have given the rocks a pasting over the millenia, and the coast is slowly eroding as a result. photo to follow:

Application of Evil in Sound Investment Strategy
Application of Evil to sound investment strategy

Mr and Mrs Money enjoy the tea break at their first class at The Institute for Advanced Lying. Today’s class is The Application of Evil in Sound Investment Strategy.
The tea break was weird: All the newbies were hoping to discuss their ‘making money without grafting’ schemes and making new friends/business partners, yet all the discussions were side-tracked by the astonishing discovery that every student suffered from haemorrhoids.
‘I wondered why you’d brought a cushion!’ exclaimed Lady Loot.
‘You prefer the inner tube?’ said Mrs Money.
‘I do!’ she replied. ‘It’s so much easier to carry around!’
‘Have you heard?’ interrupted Mr. Money, ‘The Institute have just appointed Dr. Wilfred Dickinson Shakespeare Shelley Toilet as Emeritus Professor of Plagiarism!’
‘Wilfred Toilet!? Not THE Wilfred Toilet?’
‘One and the same!’
‘What a coup!’
Lower Longbeak cliffs, photo
Lower Longbeak, near Widemouth, North Cornwall.
Just about my favourite photo of this coastline. It’s a shame about the mushrooms in the distance
This really does make a good desktop background
Other fine shots of the cliffs include the rock climbers and geography posts.

Love in a Mist flowers
There’s a monsoon on the way, so I’ve taken photos of annual flowers before they all get flattened.
Here’s the first – Love in a Mist.

Scrying 1 – abstract acrylic painting
Here’s a new abstract painting – acrylic paints injected into white emulsion! The emulsion was so thick that the end product has topography; it could even be a mountain range.

It used rather a lot of emulsion to generate the thickness (when dry) but I enjoyed the experiment.
